Livestorm – a webinar and digital events software review

    October 1, 2021 /

LiveStorm is a software platform for online meetings, webinars, virtual events, automated webinars, and on-demand webinars. They started in 2016 in the Massachusetts, USA. Compared to other softwares, LiveStorm looks closer to a Zoom competitor than the others. After Sign Up Unless other softwares that have Free Trials, this one has a Free Account. I like this better, because the time pressure to fully test a webinar before paying a whole chunk is too short on most softwares. To finish signing up, you confirm your email address. Then you arrive on a landing page, that points you to create your [+new event]. They also have a brief survey. There is…

WebinarGeek – webinar and digital event software review

    September 30, 2021 /

WebinarGeek is a smaller software platform for live webinars, automated webinars, on-demand webinars and hybrid webinars. They started in 2015 in the Netherlands. Compared to other softwares, WebinarGeek has a focus on marketing tools as well. After Sign Up If you are taking out a Free14 Day Trial, once you sign up you are directed to a survey, which is a bit longer than I expected, so I skipped on it. Then you arrive on a landing page, that points you to “create your first webinar”. You also receive an email, that is pretty useless. Main Dashboard Very simple, with Webinars, Videos, Channel, Statistics along the top bar. Creating a…

BigMarker – a webinar and digital event software review

    September 27, 2021 /

BigMarker is a well-rated and highly customisable platform for webinars, virtual and hybrid events. They started in 2010, and are based out of Chicago. Compared to other softwares, BigMarker has a lot of features and functionality. After Sign Up If you are taking out a Free 7 Day Trial, once you sign up you are directed to a short survey. After the survey is complete you arrive on a landing page, that asks you to set up an event – Live Webinar, Summit or Series, On-Demand Webinar, Automated Webinar, or Evergreen Webinar. You also receive an email, giving suggestions for hosting high-impact events, as well as inviting you to attend…

Demio – a webinar and digital event software review

    September 23, 2021 /

Demio is a highly rated, and highly reviewed webinar and video conferencing platform that started in 2014 in USA. It was built with SaaS companies in mind, so I need to be sure that it can work as an engagement and digital event platform for a media business. After Sign Up Once the account is set up, there is a short video tour of the platform. It sets up a dummy event, so you can see what joining a room is like. You can join the dummy event and see what it is like to run a webinar in Demio. They also then invite you to a Demio Introduction and…

Unpacking Digital Event Strategy in 2021

    June 14, 2021 /

It’s been a long 12 months.  Every country in the world can relate. Companies and their employees have gone through the fastest transformation in their lifetimes. Terms that were rare are now becoming the norm – flexible working, remote working, work-from-home, work-from-anywhere, co-working, etc… Social distancing and restrictions have upturned the business events world.  All events from business breakfasts, networking, conferences and roundtables were initially gutted, yet have all now adjusted to this new way of working. Digital events have become normal. Webinars and livestream events have boomed, and as restrictions lift around the world, the “hybrid event” style is taking off. Hybrid events offer a combination of a live…
